The Division of Plant Biotechnology at SKUAST-Kashmir invites applications from eligible candidates for the following temporary project-based positions under the DBT-funded research project, “Deciphering the Genetics for Enhancing Yield and Nutritional Potential of Buckwheat”. The engagement is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Position Details:
1. Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)
- Number of Posts: 01
- Eligibility/Qualifications (Essential):
- M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology & Biotechnology, Genetics & Plant Breeding, or Vegetable Science.
- Candidates must hold a B.Sc. in Agriculture/Horticulture.
- Qualified NET/GATE or equivalent accredited tests. Non-NET/GATE candidates may be considered with emoluments as per funding agency rules.

- Desirable:
- Experience in nutritional genomics, molecular characterization, and field evaluation.
- Status of Job: Temporary for one year, extendable up to three years based on performance.
2. Field-cum-Lab Assistant
- Number of Posts: 01
- Eligibility/Qualifications (Essential):
- B.Sc. in Agriculture or Horticulture.
- Relevant experience in fieldwork, including collecting biological materials, characterization, recording observations, and maintaining biological material records.
- Status of Job: Temporary, co-terminus with the project.
