J&K ST Post-Matric Scholarship 2024-25

Government of Jammu & Kashmir Directorate of Tribal Affairs Notification: Post-Matric Scholarship for Scheduled Tribe Students (2024-25)

The Directorate of Tribal Affairs, Jammu & Kashmir, invites applications from Scheduled Tribe (ST) students of J&K for fresh and renewal of scholarships under the centrally sponsored “Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for ST Students” for the academic year 2024-25. Eligible candidates must apply online through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) at scholarships.gov.in.

Important Dates

  1. Opening of Online Submission: November 27, 2024
    Deadline: December 27, 2024
  2. Verification by Institution Nodal Officers: November 27, 2024 – December 29, 2024
  3. Verification by District Nodal Officers: November 27, 2024 – January 2, 2025

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must belong to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category and be a domicile of J&K.
  • Must have passed matriculation or higher education from a recognized institution.
  • Annual family income must not exceed ₹2.50 lakh.
  • Must possess an Aadhaar-linked bank account and mobile number.
  • Should not be receiving any other scholarship simultaneously.

Application Process

  1. Fresh Applicants:
    • Install the NSP OTR App from the Google Play Store for face authentication.
    • Register on the NSP portal and generate a One Time Registration (OTR) number.
  2. Renewal Applicants:
    • Face authentication is mandatory for 2024-25, even for those who registered in previous years.
    • Use the “Know Your OTR” option on the NSP portal for retrieving your number.

Required Documents

  • Domicile and Caste Certificate (Schedule Tribe).
  • Income Certificate from the Competent Authority.
  • Bonafide Certificate issued by the Head of the Institution.
  • Marks sheet of the last qualifying exam.
  • Bank account details and passbook copy.
  • Aadhaar number and linked mobile/email ID.

Note: All documents must be uploaded in PDF/JPG format, with a file size between 150-200 KB.

Conditions and Instructions

  • Submission of an application form does not guarantee the award of the scholarship.
  • Scholarship disbursements will be made to Aadhaar-linked accounts via the National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI).
