Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K), Division of Food Science and Technology, Faculty of Horticulture, invites applications from highly motivated and eligible candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the project titled “Circular economy approach to valorize the walnut shell (a major by-product of the walnut industry of J&K)”. The project is sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology, and the position is purely contractual, co-terminus with the project.

Details of the Position

• Name of Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
• Number of Positions: 02
• Essential Qualifications:
  1. M.Tech/M.Sc. in Food Technology, Food Processing and Food Engineering, or Post-harvest Management.
  2. At the graduation level, candidates must have a 4-year degree in B.Sc. Agriculture and allied subjects or B.Tech Food Technology, Agricultural Engineering, or B.Sc. Food Technology.
  3. Candidates must have qualified NET/GATE or possess a Ph.D. in the relevant field.
  4. In case of non-availability of NET/GATE/Ph.D. candidates, non-NET/GATE/Ph.D. candidates will be given preference with emoluments as per the funding agency rules.
• Age Limit: Below 35 years (relaxable up to 40 years for SC/ST and women candidates).
• Emoluments: ₹37,000 + 9% HRA per month.
