University of Kashmir Invites Applications for Contractual Assistant Instructors

Srinagar, February 6, 2025: The University of Kashmir has released a supplementary advertisement inviting applications for Contractual Assistant Instructors at the Institute of Music & Fine Arts. The recruitment is for the academic session 2025 and is purely on a temporary, need-based arrangement under the School of Arts, Languages & Literature.

The online application process began on February 6, 2025, and the deadline for submission is February 18, 2025. The university is hiring instructors for various subjects in the fields of Fine Arts and Music, including Applied Art, Painting, Sculpture, Art History, Vocal, Tabla, Sitar, Indian Classical Santoor, and Sufiyana Santoor.

Candidates applying for Fine Arts subjects must have a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks from a recognized university. For music-related positions, a B.MUS degree with 55% marks is required. Preference will be given to candidates with NET, SET, or Ph.D. qualifications.

Terms & Conditions of Engagement

• The appointment is for the 2025 academic session only and will be terminated at the end of the session or if the position is filled permanently.
• Candidates will have no claim for regularization or continuation beyond the session.
• A non-refundable application fee of ₹250 per form (₹100 for additional applications) must be paid online.
• Selected candidates will be required to sign an undertaking before a 1st Class Judicial Magistrate, agreeing to the university’s terms and conditions.
• Candidates must not be employed in any Government, Semi-Government, or other educational institution.
