JKPSC Issues Addendum: Two New SC Category Professor Posts Added in SKIMS Department Recruitment 2025
Srinagar, Jan 2, 2026:
The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has issued an addendum to its earlier Notification No. 21-PSC(DR-P) of 2025 dated December 31, 2025, regarding the recruitment of Professors in the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura Srinagar under the Health & Medical Education Department.
Two New Posts Reserved for Scheduled Caste Category
As per the addendum, JKPSC has added two additional posts under the Scheduled Caste (SC) category. These posts are allocated as follows:
- One post in Anesthesiology
- One post in Hospital Administration
These positions will now be deemed included under Item No. 2 — “Details of posts with category/Scale of Pay” — of the original notification issued on December 31, 2025.
Total Posts Increased to 31
With the inclusion of these two SC-category posts, the total number of advertised Professor vacancies now stands at 31, instead of the previously notified 29.
Other Terms Remain Unchanged
JKPSC has clarified that all other terms and conditions of the recruitment process remain the same as detailed in Notification No. 21-PSC(DR-P) of 2025.
The addendum was issued under the signature of Bashir Ahmad Dar (JKAS), Secretary, JK Public Service Commission, on January 2, 2026.
