Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
To apply for the post of Assistant Librarian, a candidate must possess:
- Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade)

- Knowledge of computerization of libraries
NET / SET / PhD Requirement
Applicants must also fulfill one of the following:
- Must have qualified UGC NET / CSIR NET / SLET / SET, OR
- Must hold a PhD degree in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009 or 2016
Candidates registered for PhD before 11 July 2009 are exempted from NET if they satisfy:
- PhD awarded in regular mode
- Thesis evaluated by two external examiners
- Open PhD viva conducted
- Two research papers published (one in refereed journal)
- Two papers presented in UGC/ICSSR/CSIR sponsored conferences
