The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have revised the application schedule for RRB Group D Recruitment 2026 under CEN No. 09/2025, which aims to fill Level-1 posts across various railway zones in India. As per the latest update, eligible 10th-pass candidates can apply online through the official portal, with the revised dates giving applicants additional time to complete the process.
According to the official notification, the online application process will now begin on 31 January 2026, instead of the earlier announced date of 21 January 2026. Similarly, the last date to submit the application has been extended to 02 March 2026 (up to 11:59 PM), replacing the previous deadline of 20 February 2026. This revision is expected to benefit a large number of aspirants preparing for the railway recruitment drive.
Through this recruitment, RRBs intend to fill around 22,000 vacancies for Level-1 posts under Group D across different railway zones. These posts are among the most sought-after government jobs in India, attracting lakhs of candidates due to job security, stable career growth, and nationwide postings under Indian Railways.
To apply online for RRB Group D Recruitment 2026, candidates must visit the official application portal and click on CEN No. 09/2025. After completing registration and login, applicants should carefully fill out the online form, upload the required documents in the prescribed format, pay the application fee, review all details, and finally submit the form. Candidates are advised to keep a copy of the submitted application for future reference.
Regarding the application fee, candidates from the General category are required to pay ₹500, while PwBD, Female, Transgender, Ex-Servicemen, SC/ST, Minority, and EBC candidates need to pay ₹250. Notably, General category candidates will receive a refund of ₹400 after appearing in the CBT, whereas candidates from other categories will get a full refund of ₹250 after attending the exam.

Application Fee
The candidates belonging to General category need to pay an Application fee of Rs 500 and the PwBD, Female, Transgender, Ex-Servicemen, SC/ST, Minority, and EBC categories stories need to pay a fee of Rs 250.
Note that the General candidates will get a refund of Rs 400 after attending the CBT exam. Meanwhile, the other categories applicants will get the full Rs 250 amount after the CBT exam.
