JKBOPEE Releases Provisional Selection List After 3rd Round of NEET PG 2025 Counselling in J&K

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has officially released the Provisional Selection List of candidates upgraded or allotted seats during the 3rd Round of Online Counselling for admission to NEET MD/MS/PGD Courses 2025.

The list has been issued vide Notification No. 026-BOPEE of 2026 dated 08 February 2026, covering admissions to various Government and Private Medical Colleges/Institutions across the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.

This notification is a crucial update for NEET PG aspirants who participated in the third round of counselling, as it determines provisional seat allotment, upgrades, and reporting schedules.

Background of the 3rd Round Counselling

The 3rd Round of Online Counselling was conducted in continuation of earlier rounds, in accordance with:

  • Notification No. 021-BOPEE of 2026 dated 30-01-2026
  • Notice No. 003-BOPEE of 2026 dated 02-02-2026
  • Notice No. 005-BOPEE of 2026 dated 05-02-2026

The counselling process aimed to upgrade existing allotments and fill vacant MD/MS/PG Diploma seats in medical institutions of J&K based on merit, category, and availability.


Provisional Nature of the Selection List

JKBOPEE has clearly stated that the released list is purely provisional. Candidates whose names appear in Annexure “A” of the notification have either:

  • Been upgraded to a higher-preference discipline/institution, or
  • Been freshly allotted a seat during the third counselling round

The list is available only on the official JKBOPEE website, and no individual communication has been issued to candidates.


Option to Submit Representations

Candidates who wish to raise objections or submit representations regarding their position in the provisional selection list are allowed to do so.

If JKBOPEE finds any representation genuine, a revised list will be notified separately. In case no further notification is issued, Annexure “A” shall be treated as final.


Reporting Schedule for Provisionally Selected Candidates

Candidates whose names appear in the provisional list must report to their respective allotted colleges/institutions within the stipulated timeframe.

Reporting Period:

  • From 09 February 2026 (11:30 AM onwards)
  • Up to 11 February 2026 (4:00 PM)

Failure to report within this period may result in cancellation of the allotted seat, and JKBOPEE will not be responsible for any loss arising due to delay.


Mandatory Documents Required at Reporting

Candidates must report in person and produce the following documents in original:

  1. Matriculation Certificate
  2. MBBS Degree Certificate
  3. Rotatory Internship Completion Certificate (completed on or before 31-07-2025)
  4. All MBBS Marks Cards
  5. NEET PG Result Card (wherever applicable)
  6. Domicile Certificate (UT of J&K / Ladakh, if applicable)
  7. NMC (MCI) / J&K Medical Council Registration Certificate
  8. Valid Category Certificate (if applicable)
  9. NMC/MCI clearance for candidates with MBBS from abroad
  10. NOC from Competent Authority (for in-service candidates)
  11. Proof of Identity (Aadhaar Card / Passport / Driving Licence, etc.)
  12. Any additional documents required by the college
  13. Service Bond (mandatory for candidates belonging to UT of Ladakh)

Colleges will verify documents strictly as per NMC guidelines, and any discrepancy may lead to cancellation of admission.


Responsibilities of Medical Colleges

JKBOPEE has directed all participating medical colleges and institutions to:

  • Ensure thorough verification of eligibility and documents
  • Pay special attention to reserved category certificates
  • Submit any shortfall or discrepancy reports to JKBOPEE offices in Jammu or Srinagar by 11 February 2026 (5:00 PM)

Institutions have also been instructed to keep admission counters open on holidays, if required, to complete the admission process before the cut-off date.


Important Note on Resignation of Seats

Candidates who were admitted during the First or Second Round of Counselling and now wish to resign their seats may do so up to 11 February 2026 (4:00 PM).

However, resignations must be made after carefully considering the provisions of SRO-48 of 2018, as highlighted in the official e-Information Brochure.

Timely resignation will allow JKBOPEE to reflect vacant seats in the subsequent counselling rounds, if conducted.


Warning on False Information

JKBOPEE has reiterated that:

  • Admissions made during the 3rd round are liable to cancellation
  • Any false or fabricated information will attract legal action
  • Candidates bear full responsibility for the authenticity of documents submitted

The release of the Provisional Selection List after the 3rd Round of NEET PG 2025 Counselling marks an important milestone in the postgraduate medical admission process in Jammu & Kashmir. Candidates are strongly advised to:

  • Check the list carefully
  • Submit representations (if any) within the deadline
  • Report to allotted colleges well before the last date
