The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has officially released the notification for the J&K Combined Competitive (Main) Examination 2025. Candidates who have qualified the Preliminary Examination are now invited to submit their online applications for the prestigious administrative services in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
As per Notification No. 03-PSC (DR-P) of 2026 dated 13-02-2026, the JKPSC CCE Mains 2025 examination will be conducted for recruitment to various gazetted services including J&K Administrative Service, J&K Police (G) Service, and J&K Accounts (G) Service .

JKPSC CCE Mains 2025: Important Dates
Candidates must take note of the following key dates mentioned in the official notification:
- Notification Date: 13 February 2026
- Online Application Start Date: 16 February 2026
- Last Date to Apply Online: 09 March 2026
- Tentative Date of Mains Examination: 25 April 2026

Total Vacancies: 80 Posts
JKPSC has announced a total of 80 vacancies under various services. The category-wise breakup is provided below:
1. Junior Scale of J&K Administrative Service – 35 Posts
2. J&K Police (Gazetted) Service – 15 Posts
3. J&K Accounts (Gazetted) Service – 30 Posts
The vacancies are distributed across Open Merit (OM), RBA, SC, ST-1, ST-2, OBC, EWS, and other reserved categories as per government norms .
Pay Scale
Selected candidates will be appointed in Level 8 Pay Matrix (₹47,600 – ₹1,51,100) along with allowances as admissible under government rules .
Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have qualified the J&K Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination 2025.
- Must be a domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
- Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university in India or equivalent qualification .
Candidates who appeared in the final year examination before the last date prescribed for the Preliminary Examination and qualified the same are also eligible, subject to fulfilling all conditions.
Age Limit (As on 01 January 2025)
The age criteria are as follows:
- Open Merit: Maximum 32 years
- Reserved Category & In-service Candidates: Maximum 34 years
- Physically Challenged Candidates: Maximum 35 years
The age will be reckoned as on 01-01-2025 .
Application Fee
Candidates are required to pay the examination fee through online mode:
- General Category: ₹1200
- Reserved Categories: ₹700
- PHC Candidates: Nil
Applications submitted without payment of the prescribed fee shall be rejected without notice .
Scheme of Examination
The selection process for JKPSC CCE Mains 2025 will consist of:
- Written Examination (Mains)
- Personality Test (Interview)
Written Examination Pattern
- The Mains examination will consist of eight (08) conventional essay-type papers.
- One paper will be of qualifying nature.
- Candidates must secure minimum qualifying marks as fixed by the Commission to be eligible for the Personality Test .
Interview (Personality Test)
- The Personality Test will carry 250 marks.
- The number of candidates called for interview will not exceed three times the number of vacancies .
Physical Standards (For J&K Police Service)
Candidates applying for the J&K Police (Gazetted) Service must fulfill the following physical standards:
For Male Candidates:
- Height: 165 cm
- Chest: 84 cm (with 5 cm expansion)
For Female Candidates:
- Height: 150 cm
- Chest: 79 cm (with 5 cm expansion) .

- Date of Birth Certificate
- Bachelor’s Degree Certificate / Marks Sheet
- Character Certificate
- Category Certificate (if applicable)
- PHC Certificate (if applicable)

Failure to upload mandatory documents may result in cancellation of candidature.

The JKPSC CCE Mains 2025 examination will be conducted at:
- Jammu
- Srinagar
Candidates must choose their preferred centre while filling out the online application form .
How to Apply for JKPSC CCE Mains 2025?
Follow the steps below to apply online:
- Visit the official JKPSC website: https://www.jkpsc.nic.in
- Login using your credentials created during the CCE Preliminary application.
- Complete the One Time Registration (OTR) details.
- Upload scanned photograph and signature (10kb–20kb in .jpeg/.jpg format).
- Fill in required details carefully.
- Submit the application.
- Pay the application fee online.
- Take a printout of the submitted application form .
Only candidates who have qualified for admission to the Main Examination are eligible to apply.
Important Instructions
- No change in service preference or optional subject will be allowed once submitted.
- Candidates found guilty of misconduct, impersonation, submission of fabricated documents, or unfair means will face disqualification and possible criminal prosecution .
- Admit cards will be available approximately one week before the examination date on the official website.
