University of Kashmir Recruitment 2026: Associate Professor Vacancy Announced at Population Research Centre

Educational Qualification Required

Candidates applying for the Associate Professor post must fulfill the following eligibility conditions:

• Master’s Degree in Demography, Population Studies, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, or Geography with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade.
• Candidates having postgraduate degrees other than Demography/Population Studies must have completed a minimum one-year regular course in Demography or Population Studies from a recognized institution or university.
• A good academic record along with a Ph.D. degree in the relevant subjects mentioned in the notification.
• Published research work of quality related to Demography and Health.
• Minimum eight years of teaching or research experience equivalent to Assistant Professor level.
• At least seven publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
• Academic/Research score of 75 as per UGC Guidelines 2018.
