Admission Notification for Classes 10th and 12th through JKSOS for Session 2024-25
The Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has announced the direct Admission cum Examination for Classes 10th and 12th for the academic session 2024-25 under the Jammu & Kashmir State Open School (JKSOS). This initiative is aimed at providing educational opportunities for students who missed formal education or dropped out, especially those who are unemployed or require skill enhancement.

Eligibility Criteria:
For Class 10th Admission:
- Candidates must have passed the 8th examination and have a gap of at least 2 years from Class 8 to 10.
- The candidate must be aged 14 years or above as of 30th November 2024. There is no upper age limit.
For Class 12th Admission:
- Candidates must have passed the 10th examination from any recognized board and should have a minimum gap of 2 years between Classes 10 and 12.
- The candidate must be aged 16 years or above as of 30th November 2024. There is no upper age limit.
JKBOSE Issues Important Notifications for December 2024
Medium of Instruction:
The medium of instruction will be English, and study materials, including textbooks, will be provided through Accredited Study Centres. Contact classes (both online and offline) will also be conducted.
Fee Structure:
- Class 10th: ₹3,500
- Class 12th: ₹4,000
Fee payment can be made via online or offline modes in the respective JK Bank accounts mentioned in the notification.
Important Dates:
- Admission Opens: 20th December 2024
- Admission Closes: 3rd February 2025
Application Procedure:
Interested candidates can obtain admission forms from the Accredited Study Centres. The list of these centres and the detailed prospectus are available on the official JKBOSE website: www.jkbose.nic.in.
