‘Anxiety racing among J-K youth’, JKSSB candidates express concern over growing unemployment
The aspirants of JKSSB have expressed huge concern over the alarming rate of unemployment in Jammu Kashmir.
In a press release issued to The Kashmiriyat, JKSSB JKSSB aspirants said, LG Manoj Sinha had said on July 9, 2023, that the exam calendar for SSB will be issued in 10-15 days.
“Last month, a delegation of aspirants met JKSSB officials at the Jammu and Srinagar offices, where all the aspirant’s grievances were discussed. Consequently, most of the demands, like a declaration of results, were met except for the exam calendar and results of JKPSI and JE Civil,” said the candidiates.
Since we are approaching that deadline, it is both desired and requested by all the aspirants of J-K that the word of LG Manoj Sinha be respected by all the agencies involved in the release of the exam calendar and the further conduct of exams in a transparent manner, the press release said.
The students said that the second is the issue of the results of JKPSI and JE-Civil, that have been conducted twice as of now, and the results of both have been withheld for the last 8 months due to a court case.
“Hence, it is requested that all the legally sound proactive measures be used by the administration for the redressal of the case that has been lingering since December 2022,” they said.
With every passing day, the stress and anxiety among the youth of JK are racing to an unimaginable level. The situation is dire and needs to be acknowledged at the highest levels as an emergency so that the above- mentioned issues can be resolved promptly, read the press release. (The Kashmiriyat)
