1st-2nd January 2024:

  • Feeble Western Disturbance:
    • Expect generally cloudy skies with light snowfall at scattered places, particularly during the evening of the 1st and early hours of the 2nd.

Weather Update for Jammu & Kashmir Till January 6: Snowfall, Rain, and Cold Wave Expected

3rd-6th January 2024:

  • Moderate Western Disturbance:
    • The period will experience widespread weather activity.
    • Plains of Jammu: Light to moderate rain.
    • Rest of J&K: Light to moderate snowfall, especially at higher altitudes.
    • Peak activity is anticipated between the afternoon of 4th January and 6th January, with the possibility of heavy snowfall at isolated higher reaches during the 4th and 5th.

7th-10th January 2024:

  • The weather will remain mostly dry with cloudy skies, providing a brief respite from precipitation.
