GMC Srinagar Releases Merit List and Selection Notification for PRS-I Post in Pediatric Surgery Research Project
The Department of Pediatric Surgery at the Children’s Hospital Bemina, Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar, has officially released the merit list of candidates who applied for the post of Project Research Scientist-I (PRS-I) under the prestigious research project titled:
“Simulation of naturally occurring human varicocele in rat model with an attempt to identify potential pathogenic pathways.”

About the Research Project
The PRS-I post is associated with an advanced biomedical research project focused on simulating naturally occurring human varicocele in animal models with the aim of identifying potential disease-causing mechanisms (pathogenic pathways). Varicocele is a common male reproductive condition linked with infertility, making this project scientifically important for future clinical applications.

Interview & Merit Evaluation Details
As per the notification, all eligible candidates were interviewed on 03-01-2026. The merit list has been prepared based on the candidate’s qualifications, performance, and evaluation marks.
