Government of Jammu & Kashmir Orders Transfers of Zonal Education Officers
The Government of Jammu & Kashmir’s School Education Department has issued Government Order No. 141 – JK (Edu) of 2025, announcing the transfer and posting of Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs) and equivalent officers across various districts.
The transfers, aimed at administrative efficiency, have been ordered with immediate effect. The detailed list of transferred officers includes:
- Ab Salam Dar transferred from ZEO Sopore, Baramulla to ZEO Baramulla.
- Vijay Kumar moved from ZEO Inderwal, Kishtwar to ZEO Basohli, Kathua.
- Ram Lal shifted from ZEO Sallan, Kathua to ZEO Chenani, Udhampur.
- Ali Khan transferred from ZEO Anantnag to ZEO Bhilawal, Jammu.
- Suraya Kareem reassigned from ZEO Budgam to ZEO Nishat, Srinagar.
The order also includes additional responsibilities for some officers:
- ZEO Budgam will hold additional charge of ZEO Khansahib, Budgam.
- ZEO Dangerpora, Baramulla will oversee ZEO Rohama.
- ZEO Srigufwara, Baramulla will also manage ZEO Bijbehara.
- ZEO Keegam, Shopian will handle ZEO Imamsahib, Shopian.
The government aims to enhance educational administration through these strategic postings. The order has been signed by Shantmanu, IAS, Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), School Education Department.
