Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification:
- 10+2 with Diploma in Medical Lab Technician from a recognized institute.
Selection Criteria
The selection process is based on the following:
- Written Test: Proportionately converted into 80 points.
- Viva Voce (Interview): 20 points.
Timeline of Events
- 2015: The advertisement was issued for 46 Lab Assistant posts.
- 2017: Selection/interview process constituted under Order No. 121-SSB of 2017 dated 17.03.2017.
- 2020: The selection list was kept in abeyance pending court and administrative approvals.
- 2023: The Hon’ble High Court of Jammu & Kashmir dismissed appeals against the process.
- 2024: Approval for the selection list was granted by the Administrative Council via decision No. 123/10/2024 dated 07.10.2024.
- 2025: The final provisional selection list was prepared and approved during the 294th Board Meeting on 10.01.2025.
