Very light snow was recorded in some parts of Shopian during the early morning hours (no accumulation).
Light rain was also recorded in some parts of Jammu region.
Despite the favorable temperatures for snowfall, as it was expected, the Western Disturbance failed to bring any significant precipitation with it.
Also, the current forecasts don’t indicate any good weather systems during the next 10 days.
This year’s lack of snowfall in the hills has been disappointing for tourists, potentially also impacting the tourism sector due to the extended dry spell.
