Weather Update: Rain Spells and Advisories for J&K
The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has issued a weather forecast for Jammu and Kashmir, predicting intermittent rain and thundershowers over the next week.
Forecast Details:
– July 26-27: A brief spell of rain and thundershowers is expected at isolated places in the Kashmir Division, with light to moderate rain and thundershowers scattered across the Jammu Division.
– July 28-31: Generally cloudy skies will dominate, with intermittent spells of light to moderate rain and thundershowers expected at scattered to fairly widespread places in the Kashmir Division and widespread places in the Jammu Division.
– August 1-4: The weather will remain generally cloudy, with spells of intermittent light to moderate rain and thundershowers at many places in the Kashmir Division and most places in the Jammu Division.

Residents are advised to remain cautious as intense showers for brief periods may lead to landslides, mudslides, and shooting stones in vulnerable areas. There is a possibility of heavy rainfall at a few places in the Jammu Division. Additionally, a significant drop in day temperatures is expected from July 29 onwards.
