JKBOSE Annual Exams Begin Today for Class 12th in Soft Zone
Srinagar, March 5 (KSA): The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) is conducting the Annual Regular Examination 2024 (soft zone) for Class 12th starting today, March 6th. Exams for Classes 10th and 11th will follow in the coming days.
Over 3.5 lakh students across Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh‘ will be appearing in these exams at 3,139 designated centers.
Eligibility Clarification for Previously Failed Students:
JKBOSE has clarified the eligibility criteria for students who failed or had backlogs in previous years. Students who:
- Cleared backlogs in the 2023 biannual exam after failing the 2023 annual exam are eligible to appear in the 2024 annual exam.
- Failed the 2022 or earlier annual exams and cleared the 2023 biannual exam are not eligible for the 2024 annual exam due to insufficient “minimum teaching days“ and internal assessment requirements.
These students are recommended to seek admission in the next higher class and become eligible for the 2025 annual exam.

All schools have been instructed by JKBOSE to take necessary measures to ensure the smooth conduct of the exams.
