Jammu and Kashmir Board Issues Notification for Secondary School Exam Candidates Using Unfair Means
Rehari Colony, Jammu – The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE), Rehari Colony, Jammu, has released an official notification concerning certain students who appeared for the Secondary School Examination (Class 10) and deferred cases of Higher Secondary Part-II (Class 12) Annual Private/Bi-Annual exams for the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir in 2024. These students, allegedly involved in unfair practices during their exams, are required to present themselves before a committee for further scrutiny.
According to the notification, students accused of malpractices, including the use of unfair means, tearing of answer sheets, misbehavior, and use of non-prescribed ink, must defend themselves at the JKBOSE Office Chambers. This measure is part of a procedural investigation led by the Joint Secretary, Secrecy, and the JD. Students must appear at their own expense to respond to the allegations.
Candidates must attend this hearing to explain their actions, or else face potential consequences. The notice specifies that if a student fails to attend, the board will make a decision on their cases based on available records and reports, which will be considered final.
The hearings are scheduled for November 7, 2024, at JKBOSE, Rehari Colony, Jammu, with sessions organized in two shifts. The morning shift for Class 10 students runs from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by Class 12 students from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Specific roll numbers for each shift have been provided to ensure transparency and order.
This move by the JKBOSE aims to maintain the integrity of the examination process and uphold fair practices, ensuring that students abide by the rules set forth by the education board.
