The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has released the results of the Combined Competitive Examination 2023, revealing a list of candidates who have successfully advanced to the final stages of recruitment. In addition to declaring the results of the recent interview process, the Commission has called upon 71 selected candidates to undergo a mandatory medical examination, a crucial step before their potential appointment to various government positions.
Selection Process Overview
The recruitment drive began with the advertisement of 75 vacancies by JKPSC, aiming to fill these posts through a rigorous selection process. A staggering 30,756 candidates appeared in the preliminary examination conducted on October 15, 2023. Following the initial screening, 2,144 candidates qualified for the Mains Examination, which took place from March 26 to April 3, 2024, across Jammu and Srinagar. Out of these, 274 candidates advanced to the interview stage, conducted from October 21 to 29, 2024, at the JKPSC office in Srinagar.
Outcome and Medical Examination Notification
In its latest notification, the Commission has declared the results of 266 candidates who appeared for the interview, as per the selection criteria and merit list published in Annexure-I. The JKPSC has further shortlisted 71 candidates, based on their aggregate scores, for a medical examination. These candidates are expected to report to designated medical boards either in GMC Srinagar or GMC Jammu for comprehensive health assessments.
Candidates selected for the medical examination must follow the prescribed guidelines, including paying the necessary fee and completing the check-up as scheduled.
Pending Court Orders
The JKPSC has also withheld the results of 11 candidates who had been allowed to appear in the interview due to court orders. These cases are pending judicial resolution, and their outcomes will be updated following the court’s decisions.
Key Notes for Candidates
- Selection for the medical examination does not guarantee final appointment.
