JKPSC Postpones Prosecuting Officer (G) Preliminary Examination 2026

Jammu, February 27: The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has postponed the Preliminary Examination for the posts of Prosecuting Officer (G) in the J&K Home Department, which was scheduled to be held on February 28, 2026.

According to an official notice issued by the Commission on 27.02.2026, the examination will not be conducted on the previously announced date. The revised date for the examination will be notified separately in due course.

Official Notice Details

The recruitment for the posts of Prosecuting Officer (G) in the J&K Home Department was notified earlier via Notification No. 13-PSC (DR-P) of 2025 dated 10.11.2025. The preliminary examination was tentatively scheduled for 28.02.2026.

However, as per the latest notification issued by JKPSC, the examination stands postponed until further notice.

The notice reads:

“It is hereby informed to all the eligible candidates that the Preliminary Examination for the posts of Prosecuting Officer (G) in the J&K Home Department, notified vide Notification No. 13-PSC (DR-P) of 2025 dated 10.11.2025, shall not be conducted on the tentatively scheduled date of 28.02.2026. The revised date of examination shall be notified separately in due course.”

The notice has been issued under No. PSC/Exam/P.O (Pre)/2026/09 dated 27.02.2026.
