The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has issued an important notice regarding the upcoming Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Endurance Test (PET) for candidates applying to the post of Constable (Armed/IRP/SDRF/Executive). The notification specifically addresses Ex-Servicemen (ESM) and candidates belonging to the Gorkha and Bot communities.

This update comes in continuation to the earlier notice No. JKSSB-COEOEXAM(UT)/36/2024-03 (7593651) dated 29th July 2025, concerning the conduct of PST/PET.

Key Details of the Notification

  • The PST/PET for Constable posts is scheduled to be held on 24th, 25th, and 26th September 2025 at M.A. Stadium, Jammu.
  • This schedule is applicable to those candidates who had opted for Jammu as their test venue.

Instructions for Ex-Servicemen (ESM) Candidates

All shortlisted Ex-Servicemen (ESM) candidates appearing for the PST/PET must:

  • Bring their Matriculation Certificate (as proof of age) on the day of the test.
  • Carry all supporting documents along with them.
  • No ESM candidate will be allowed to appear in the PST/PET without the required documents.

Instructions for Gorkha and Bot Community Candidates

All shortlisted candidates belonging to the Gorkha Community and Bot Tribe must:

  • Carry their category certificate (issued by the competent authority) on the day of the PST/PET.
  • Submit this certificate mandatorily, along with other supporting documents.
  • This is required to avail the benefit of relaxed standard of PST, if applicable.

Important Notes

  • The JKSSB has clearly mentioned that candidates failing to produce the necessary certificates will not be allowed to appear in the PST/PET.
  • Candidates are therefore advised to carefully check their documents in advance to avoid any last-minute issues.
