Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has officially postponed the OMR-based written examination for the post of Laboratory Attendant in the Home Department, which was scheduled to be held on March 1, 2026.
According to an official notice issued by the JKSSB, the examination advertised under Notification No. 06 of 2025 dated 22.07.2025 will not be conducted as planned. The board stated that the decision has been taken for administrative reasons, though no specific cause for the postponement was mentioned in the notification.
Fresh Date to Be Announced Separately
The board has clarified that the revised date for the OMR-based written examination will be notified separately. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official JKSSB website (www.jkssb.nic.in) for updates regarding the new examination schedule.
The notice was issued under reference number JKSSB-COE0EXAM/08/2026-03 (7839130) and is dated March 1, 2026.

The notification reads:
“It is hereby notified for the information of all concerned candidates that the OMR Based Written Examination for the post of Laboratory Attendant (Home Department) advertised vide notification No. 06 of 2025 dated 22.07.2025 which was scheduled to be held today on 01.03.2026, is hereby postponed. The fresh date for the said examination shall be notified separately.”
The notice has been signed by Reyaz Ahmed Malik (JKAS), Controller of Examinations, J&K Services Selection Board.
