JKSSB Releases Provisional Selection List for Junior Assistant Posts
The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released the Provisional Selection List for the post of Junior Assistant under Advertisement Notification Nos. 04 & 05 of 2021 and 02 & 04 of 2022.
Vacancies and Category-Wise Breakup
The selection process was conducted for a total of 306 Junior Assistant posts across various departments. The category-wise distribution of these vacancies is as follows:

Educational Qualification & Eligibility
Candidates applying for the Junior Assistant post were required to have:
- Graduation from any recognized university
- A minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute on a computer keyboard
Selection Process Details
JKSSB followed a multi-stage selection process, which included:
- Typing Test:
- Conducted earlier this year, with results declared on August 8, 2024.
- Written Examination (OMR-Based):
- Conducted on August 25, 2024, for candidates who qualified in the typing test.
- Result & Score Sheet Publication:
- JKSSB released the results on September 18, 2024, via Notification No. JKSSB-COEOEXAM(UT)/32/2024-03 (7551754).
- Document Verification:
- Candidates in the consideration zone were invited for Document Verification (DV) from December 10 to December 17, 2024, at Jammu & Srinagar offices.
- A supplementary DV session is scheduled from January 7 to January 9, 2025.
What’s Next?
Candidates who successfully clear document verification will receive final appointment orders for the Junior Assistant posts in different government departments. JKSSB is expected to release the final selection list after the verification process.
