Legrand Empowering Scholarship Program 2024-25: A Lifeline for Meritorious and Special Category Students
Legrand has announced the Legrand Empowering Scholarship Program 2024-25, designed to support meritorious students across India in their pursuit of higher education in the fields of Engineering, Architecture, Finance, and Sciences. This initiative is specifically targeted at girls, differently-abled girls, LGBTQ+ students, Covid-affected students, and students with single parents or orphans.
Scholarship Overview
The Legrand Empowering Scholarship Program aims to provide financial assistance to deserving students enrolled in B.Tech., B.E., B.Arch., or undergraduate degrees in Finance or Science (B.Sc., B.Com., B.B.A., etc.). This support is intended to enable these students to excel in their chosen fields without the burden of financial constraints.
Eligibility Criteria
The scholarship is available to:
– Meritorious girls, differently-abled girls, LGBTQ+ students, Covid-affected students, and students with single parents or orphans across India.
– Students who have secured admission in B.Tech., B.E., B.Arch., B.B.A., B.Com., or B.Sc. degrees in India.
– Students who have passed Class 12 in the year 2023-24.

Additional criteria include:
– Girl students must have secured a minimum of 70% marks in Classes 10 and 12 examinations.
– Special category students must have secured 60% marks in Classes 10 and 12 examinations, with exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis.
– The annual family income of the applicant must be less than INR 5,00,000.
– Preference will be given to special category students.
Special category includes differently-abled girl students, LGBTQ+ students, Covid-affected students, and students with single parents or orphans.
Prizes & Rewards
– Girl students will be awarded 60% of their course fees, up to INR 60,000 per year, till the completion of their course, based on academic performance.
– Special category students will receive 80% of their fees, up to INR 1,00,000 per year, till the completion of their course, based on academic performance.
