The National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) is an initiative by the Ministry of Education, Government of India to provide practical training to students who have recently completed their technical education or general graduation degree. This scheme is implemented by the Board of Apprenticeship Training/Practical Training to enhance the skill set of young graduates and diploma holders, making them job-ready.

Objective of NATS

NATS for General Stream Graduates

Good news for non-technical graduates! The Ministry of Education has expanded NATS to cover general stream graduates like B.A, B.Com, B.Sc, etc. This allows non-technical students to gain valuable training and work experience.

  • Duration: Minimum 6 months and a maximum of 3 years.
  • Eligibility: Any graduate from a recognized university.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for NATS, candidates must fulfill the following conditions:

  • Must have a degree, diploma, or ITI certification.
  • Must not be a government employee.
  • Must not have prior work experience in the field.
  • Must be an Indian citizen.
  • Must not have received prior training under any government skill development program.

Required Documents

Applicants need to provide the following documents during registration:

  • Aadhaar Card
  • Valid Email ID and Mobile Number
  • Passport-size Photograph (JPEG, less than 200KB)
  • Aadhaar-linked Bank Account Details
  • Qualifying Degree Certificate (PDF, less than 1MB)
  • First Page of Bank Passbook/Statement (PDF, less than 1MB)

Registration Process

For Students

  1. Visit the NATS official website.
  2. Click on Enroll.
  3. Select Student and choose your state, year of completion, and education mode.
  4. Confirm document availability and click I have the above data.
  5. Enter your email ID and verify via OTP.
  6. Fill out the application form with necessary details.
  7. Upload required documents and review the application.
  8. Click Submit to complete registration.
  9. You will receive a confirmation email.

For Institutions

  1. Visit the NATS website.
  2. Click on Enroll > Institution.
  3. Provide institution details and check required documents.
  4. Enter mobile number and verify via OTP.
  5. Fill out the application form and upload required documents.
  6. Click Submit to complete registration.

For Establishments (Industries)

  1. Visit the NATS website.
  2. Click on Enroll > Establishment.
  3. Provide company details and required documents.
  4. Enter mobile number and verify via OTP.
  5. Fill out the form and upload documents.
  6. Click Submit to complete registration.

Login Process

  1. Go to the NATS website.
  2. Click Login.
  3. Enter your email/mobile/user ID and password.
  4. Enter Captcha Code and click Login.
  5. Access your user dashboard.

View Announcements

  1. Visit the NATS website.
  2. Click on More Announcements under the Announcements section.
  3. Browse the list of latest announcements.
  4. Click on any announcement to view the PDF details.

Applying for an Apprenticeship

  1. Register and log in to the NATS portal.
  2. Go to Establishment Request > Find Establishment.
  3. Search for available apprenticeships.
  4. Click Apply.
  5. A confirmation message will appear: Successfully applied for the training position. Based on availability, you will be contacted by the establishment.
