The Department of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Management at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar invites applications for the position of Research Assistant. This role is part of an ICSSR-sponsored major research project under the guidance of Dr. Sumaira Jan.
Position:
Research Assistant (1 position)
Duration:
12 months, or until the completion of the project, whichever is earlier.

Remuneration:
₹37,000 per month (Consolidated).
Eligibility:
- Candidates must have a Ph.D./M.Phil./Postgraduate degree in a relevant subject related to the research area of the project or any social sciences discipline, with a minimum of 55% marks.
- A Ph.D. in Management with a strong research background is highly desired.
Important Notes:
- Shortlisting will be based on merit according to the project’s requirements. Meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee selection.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview, with notifications sent via email. The selected candidate must be ready to join within a week of the interview results. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview in person.
- Positions are temporary, and selected candidates must provide original documents for verification and a medical fitness certificate from the institute’s medical officer.
- Incomplete applications or those without supporting documents will be rejected.
