JKBOPEE Reopens NEET PG-2025 Registration After Cut-off Reduction — Complete Guide for J&K & Ladakh Candidates

0

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has officially reopened the online registration for NEET PG-2025 (MD/MS/PGD) admissions for eligible candidates belonging to the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. This crucial decision comes after the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) reduced the minimum qualifying percentile for Round-3 counselling on 13 January 2026.

As per Notification No. 009-BOPEE of 2026 dated 15-01-2026, candidates who were earlier not eligible or missed the chance due to higher cut-offs can now register again and become part of the Revised Provisional Merit List (PML) for further counselling and seat allotment.

This reopening is a major opportunity for postgraduate medical aspirants who want to secure MD, MS, or PG Diploma seats in government and private medical colleges of J&K and Ladakh.

Why Has JKBOPEE Reopened NEET PG-2025 Registration?

The reopening follows NBEMS’s decision to lower the qualifying percentile for Round-3 NEET PG-2025 counselling. After this reduction, several candidates who were earlier outside the eligibility zone have now come within the revised merit range.

To give these newly eligible candidates a fair chance, JKBOPEE has decided to reopen online registration and document submission so that a fresh Provisional Merit List (PML) can be prepared for counselling of seats in J&K and Ladakh.

Important Dates for NEET PG-2025 JKBOPEE Registration

Candidates must strictly follow the schedule announced by JKBOPEE:

  • Online registration starts: 16 January 2026 (from 11:00 AM)
  • Last date to apply: 20 January 2026 (till midnight)
  • Document submission for AIQ J&K/Ladakh candidates (offline/email): Up to 19 January 2026 (2:00 PM)

Registration is to be done only through the official website: www.jkbopee.gov.in

Who Is Eligible to Apply?

The following categories of candidates can take part in the reopened NEET PG-2025 registration:

1. Candidates Already in JKBOPEE Records

Candidates whose names were already listed in Annexure-A of Notification No. 121-BOPEE of 2025 dated 10-09-2025 are eligible to apply through this reopened window.

2. J&K/Ladakh Candidates Under All India Quota (AIQ)

Candidates who:

  • Appeared in NEET PG-2025 under All India Quota,
  • Actually belong to J&K or Ladakh, and
  • Want to participate in UT counselling,

but whose roll numbers were not included earlier, must submit their documents physically at JKBOPEE offices (Jammu or Srinagar) or send them via email to helpdeskjakbopee@gmail.com by 19-01-2026 (2 PM).

3. Candidates Who Already Registered Earlier

Candidates who were already registered and appeared in Annexure-A of Notification No. 161-BOPEE of 2025 dated 28-10-2025 do not need to apply again.

Revised NEET PG-2025 Cut-off Percentile

After NBEMS’s decision, JKBOPEE has announced the new eligibility cut-off for UT counselling:

Category Percentile Cut-off Score (Out of 800)
General / EWS (including JKPM, CDP, SP) 7th Percentile 103
SC / ST-I / ST-II / OBC / ALC / IB / RBA (including JKPM, CDP, SP) 0th Percentile –40

This drastic reduction has opened doors for many candidates who were earlier not eligible.

Documents Required for JKBOPEE NEET PG-2025 Registration

All candidates must upload the following documents online:

  1. MBBS Degree Certificate
  2. Medical Council Registration (State/UT or NMC/MCI)
  3. Internship Completion Certificate (up to 31-07-2025)
  4. Domicile Certificate of J&K or Ladakh
  5. Reserved Category Certificate (as per SO-176 of 2025 & SO-305 of 2024)
  6. Difficult Area Certificate (as per SRO-48 of 2018, issued by Director Health Services)
  7. NEET-PG 2025 Score Card
  8. NMC/MCI Clearance (for foreign MBBS graduates)
  9. EWS Certificate (as per SRO-518 of 2019)
  10. NOC for In-service candidates
  11. Ladakh Service Bond Undertaking (for Ladakh candidates)
  12. ST Certificate for Ladakh candidates (treated as Domicile)

The cut-off date for certificate validity is 20-01-2026, the last day of registration.

Special Instructions for In-Service Candidates

“In-service” doctors who have qualified NEET PG-2025 will be considered only if they have a valid NOC issued by the competent authority for the calendar year 2025. JKBOPEE also reserves the right to verify the authenticity of these certificates.

Mandatory Fields While Registering

Candidates must ensure the following details exactly match their NEET-PG records:

  • NEET-PG Roll Number
  • NEET-PG 2025 Score
  • NEET Rank
  • Date of Birth
  • Category (if applicable)

Any mismatch may lead to rejection during verification.

Important Notes by JKBOPEE

JKBOPEE has made it very clear that:

  • Candidates who fail to register or upload documents by 20-01-2026 will not be considered for counselling.
  • Mere registration does not guarantee admission. Final eligibility will be verified by the allotted college at the time of admission.
  • Seat allotment will depend on the Revised Provisional Merit List (PML), seat matrix, and counselling rules.

What Happens Next?

JKBOPEE will soon upload:

  • E-Information Brochure
  • Counselling Instructions
  • Tentative Seat Matrix

These will guide candidates about college-wise and category-wise seat availability for MD, MS and PG Diploma courses in J&K and Ladakh.

Why This Reopening Is a Golden Opportunity

The lowering of the NEET PG cut-off has dramatically expanded the eligibility pool. Many students who were earlier disappointed now have a second chance to secure a postgraduate medical seat in government or private institutions of J&K and Ladakh.

If you are eligible under the revised cut-off, missing this reopened window could mean losing a full academic year. Therefore, candidates are strongly advised to register early, upload all documents correctly, and keep track of JKBOPEE updates.
