The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has invited online applications for 650 posts of Assistant across its various regional offices. The age limit for the post is between 20 and 28 years as on February 1, 2026. This means candidates must have been born between February 2, 1998 and February 1, 2006, both dates inclusive. Age relaxation will be applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.
In terms of educational qualification, candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50 per cent marks. However, SC, ST and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates need only a pass class degree. Additionally, applicants must have knowledge of word processing on computers and proficiency in the local language of the state for which they are applying.
Ex-servicemen candidates must either be graduates or possess an equivalent qualification after completing at least 15 years of defence service. They are also required to meet the age and other eligibility criteria specified in the notification.
The selection process will be conducted in three stages: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination and a Language Proficiency Test (LPT). The LPT will be conducted in the official or local language of the concerned state. Candidates who fail to demonstrate adequate proficiency in the local language will be disqualified from the recruitment process.
