The Government Medical College (GMC), Handwara, invites applications for engagement on an academic arrangement basis as per S.O. 364 of 2020, dated 27-11-2020. Applications are being accepted for the posts of Senior Residents, Registrars, Tutors, and Demonstrators across multiple medical departments. The appointment will initially be for a period of one year, extendable up to three years based on performance.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. MBBS Degree and State/NMC Registration Certificate
2. MD/MS/DNB degree with a valid Registration Certificate (State/NMC)
3. Marks certificates of each MBBS year and degree specialization
4. Higher qualifications (DM/MCH/DNB Super Specialties) where applicable
5. Relevant experience certificates as per advertised requirements

Application Process

1. Application Submission:
   Complete applications must be submitted offline at the office of the Registrar Academics, GMC Handwara.
2. Application Fee:
   A non-refundable fee of Rs. 500 must be deposited in the J&K Bank in favor of the Chief Account Officer, Govt. Medical College Handwara.
3. Deadline for Applications:
   The last date for submission is 28-12-2024, by 3:00 PM.

Selection Process

The selection will be based strictly on the pre-selection criteria/guidelines issued by the Government of J&K, under relevant orders. Selection will depend on the availability of vacancies and the merit-based strength of candidates.

General Terms and Conditions

1. The appointments are temporary and for the academic year only, renewable for up to three years.
2. Selected candidates must work on a full-time basis and cannot undertake private practice during the tenure.
3. A security deposit equivalent to one month’s salary must be submitted before joining.
4. Pay Scale will follow guidelines under S.O. 364 of 2020.
5. The administration reserves the right to reject incomplete applications or cancel/modify the advertisement at any stage.
