Senior Resident Appointment at GMC Srinagar 2025: Official List and Terms Released
The Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar has officially released the Senior Resident Appointment list for 2025 on an academic arrangement basis. The appointments, outlined under Office Order No: 455-RA of 2025, are dated 09-05-2025, and follow prior notifications No. 03-EC of 2025 and No. 03-RA of 2025.
Selected Senior Residents and Disciplines:
Five qualified MD candidates have been provisionally appointed in various disciplines:
- Dr. Shaziya Afzal – Anatomy
- Dr. Tabinda Nazir – Pharmacology
- Dr. Ifrah Bashir – Pharmacology
- Dr. Peer Shadab Muzaffar – Paediatrics
- Dr. Aabid Hussain – Nephrology
All selections are based on satisfactory CID verification reports received on 07-05-2025.
Terms and Conditions of Appointment
The Senior Resident Appointment at GMC Srinagar 2025 comes with several important conditions:
- The engagement is initially for one year, extendable up to three years based on performance.
- Selected candidates must submit joining reports with affidavits attested by a Judicial Magistrate.
- Any involvement in criminal activity, private practice, or misconduct can lead to immediate termination.
- Candidates will not receive experience certificates unless they complete at least six months of residency.
- No participation in strikes is permitted under ESMA Act conditions.
- Appointees must join within 21 days from the date of the order.
Salary and Leave Entitlements
As per S.O. 364 of 2020 dated 27-11-2020, the selected Senior Residents will be compensated accordingly. Leaves will be governed by Government Order No. 451-JK (HME) of 2024 dated 08-07-2024.
