The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released a notice stating that it will conduct the following departmental examinations in the month of February 2024:
- Grade ‘C’ Stenographer Limited Departmental Competitive Examination-2018-2019 on February 6, 2024 (Paper-I (CBE), Shift-I (Morning))
- Grade ‘C’ Stenographer Limited Departmental Competitive Examination-2020, 2021 & 2022 on February 6, 2024 (Paper-I (CBE), Shift-II (Evening))
- SSA/UDC Grade Limited Departmental Competitive Examination 2018-2019 on February 7, 2024 (Paper-I (CBE), Shift-I (Morning))
- SSA/UDC Grade Limited Departmental Competitive Examination-2020,2021 & 2022 on February 8, 2024 (Paper-I (CBE), Shift-I (Morning))
- JSA/LDC Grade Limited Departmental Competitive Examination 2019-2020 on February 9, 2024 (Paper-I (Descriptive), Shift-I (Morning))

The SSC is an Indian government agency that recruits staff for various ministries and departments of the Government of India. The departmental examinations are conducted to fill vacancies in various ministries and departments.
The examinations are conducted in two stages: Tier I and Tier II. Tier I is a computer-based exam (CBE) that consists of objective questions on General Intelligence, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language and Comprehension. Tier II is a descriptive exam that consists of essays, letters, and précis writing.
Candidates who qualify in Tier I are called for Tier II. The final merit list is prepared on the basis of the combined score of Tier I and Tier II.
The SSC departmental examinations are highly competitive. In 2023, over 1 million candidates applied for the SSC CGL Tier I examination.
