Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) Invites Applications for General Manager Position

   

Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj is seeking a qualified General Manager to lead the implementation of the Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) in the UT J&K region. The position is being offered on a contractual basis for a period of 3 years by M/s. Vision India Services Private Limited.

Job Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Directorate of Rural Sanitation J&K and Districts in formulating DPRs for Plastic Waste Management/SLWM/GWM and all related project formulation processes.
  • Coordinating between the Directorate of Rural Sanitation, RD & PR, with the Municipal Bodies in J&K, Urban Local Bodies Departments and other Government organizations for convergent planning of waste management, with special focus on peri-urban areas.
  • Evaluating the performance of assets created under SBM-G and developing a plan for their operationalization.
  • Formulating and coordinating with the District for the District Level Plans under SBM.
  • All other activities related to SBM-G implementation as assigned by the Directorate of Rural Sanitation/Administrative Department for SBM-G Implementation.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the General Manager position, candidates must possess:

  • A minimum Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a reputed recognized university/institute.
  • At least 15 years of experience in infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in leading at least 2 flagship schemes in consulting assignments.
  • Preferred experience in at least one project as Team Leader/Project Consultant/Head Manager in Swachh Bharat Mission.
  • Experience in overall project management for externally aided projects/Government of India funded flagship programs.
  • Thorough knowledge of SBM, its guidelines, action plans, FSM, Solid Waste, Liquid Waste, Plastic Waste Management, etc.
  • Domicile of UT J&K.
  • Maximum age of 55 years at the time of joining.

Selection Process

The selection process will be based on the following criteria:

  • Qualification (20 marks)
  • Relevant years of experience (20 marks)
  • Relevant project experience (15 marks)
  • Relevant leadership experience (15 marks)
  • Interview (30 marks)
