Guidelines for Practical Exams:

The CBSE has emphasized the need for uniformity of instructions and correctness of procedures during the practical examinations, project work, and internal assessments. In the official notice, CBSE stated, “Guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the conduct of practical examinations have been prepared by the Board.”

Key Guidelines:

1. Uploading Marks: Schools are instructed to begin uploading marks for practical exams simultaneously, adhering to the respective dates of the exams. It is crucial to complete the uploading process by the specified deadline for each class.

2. No Editing Allowed: Once uploaded, schools will not be permitted to make any edits on the practical exam marks. Accuracy during the initial submission is essential.

3. Materials Responsibility: Schools are responsible for making necessary arrangements for practical answer books; the Board will not provide CBSE Class 10 practical answer books. However, after the exams, these answer books need not be sent to the regional office.

4. External Examiners: The Board will appoint external examiners for each school to oversee practical examinations and project assessments in specific subjects, ensuring fairness and impartiality.

5. Payment Procedures: Payments for all individuals involved in the examination process are to be processed through the Integrated Payment System unless otherwise instructed, streamlining financial transactions.

6. Compliance Warning: CBSE reserves the right to cancel practical examinations if any school fails to comply with the directives issued by the Board.

Student Attendance and Conclusion:

Schools must meticulously fill the attendance sheet of students appearing for the CBSE Class 10 and 12 practical exams in 2024, emphasizing the importance of accurate record-keeping.

In conclusion, these guidelines aim to create a standardized and fair assessment process for practical exams.
