The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially activated the re-evaluation link for Class 10 and 12 students who are dissatisfied with their recently announced results. These students now have the opportunity to apply for Marks Verification, Photocopy, and Re-evaluation by visiting the Pariksha Sangam portal on the official CBSE website, cbse.gov.in. This move comes as a relief for many students seeking to ensure their marks reflect their actual performance.
To apply for re-evaluation, students need to follow a simple process. First, they should visit the official CBSE website and click on the ‘Pariksha Sangam’ tab. From there, they must continue by selecting ‘Schools’, followed by ‘Post Exam Activities’, and then clicking on the ‘Re-evaluation’ tab. Once there, students can proceed to apply for re-evaluation for their respective classes. The application process requires a fee, which must be paid to complete the submission.
The CBSE has outlined specific eligibility criteria for this process. Students who wish to apply for the verification of marks must first complete this step before they can obtain a photocopy of their evaluated answer book. Only those who have obtained a photocopy of their answer sheets are eligible to apply for re-evaluation. This tiered process ensures a systematic and thorough review of the students’ answer sheets.
Students should note that the deadline for applying for re-evaluation is May 24, 2024, with the re-evaluation process set to begin on June 9, 2024. This timeline allows sufficient time for students to review their results and make informed decisions about seeking a re-evaluation. The CBSE’s structured approach aims to address the concerns of students who believe there may have been discrepancies in the evaluation of their answer sheets.
This year’s CBSE results were announced on May 13, 2024, showing significant achievement levels. In Class 12, the overall pass percentage was 87.98%, with girls outperforming boys by securing 91.52% compared to boys’ 85.12%. For Class 10, the overall pass percentage stood at 93.6%, with girls again leading at 94.75% versus boys’ 92.71%. Transgender students also showed an improvement, achieving a pass percentage of 91.3% up from 90% last year. The re-evaluation process now offers these students a chance to ensure that their hard work is accurately reflected in their final marks.

- Students can Apply for Re-evaluation for Class 10 and 12.
- Pay the fee as required.
The CBSE said, “Candidates applying for verification of marks will only be eligible to apply for obtaining photocopy of evaluated answer book. Candidates who have applied and obtained photocopy of answer sheet will only be eligible to apply for re-evaluation.”
It may be mentioned here that the last date to apply for the revaluation is May 24, 2024. The revaluation will begin from June 9.
Notably, CBSE Class 10 and 12 Result 2024 were announced on May 13, 2024.
In Class 12, an overall pass percentage of 87.98% has been registered this year. A total no of 1,62,1224 students appeared for the exams of which 1,42,6420 students passed. Girls have outnumbered boys by securing 91.52%. Boys have secured 85.12%.
Whereas, in Class 10. an overall pass percentage of 93.6% was recorded, which is marginally higher than last year’s tally of 93.12%. Girls performed better than boys by 2.04%. The overall pass percentage of girls is 94.75% and 92.71% for boys. The pass percentage among transgender students increased this year at 91.3% against 90% last year.
