Sri Pratap College Cluster University Srinagar is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for a project titled “Economic Recycling of Dal Lake Weeds (Lemina, Catail, Azolla & Myrophylum) into adsorbent Materials for the removal of antibiotic pollutants (Tetracycline, Cephalexin, Doxycycline, etc.)“
The project is funded by the Department of Science and Technology – Science and Engineering Research Board (DST-SERB), Government of India.
Details of the position are as follows:
- Name of the post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
- Name of the project: Economic Recycling of Dal Lake Weeds (Lemina, Catail, Azolla & Myrophylum) into adsorbent Materials for the removal of antibiotic pollutants (Tetracycline, Cephalexin, Doxycycline, etc.)

- Co-principal Investigator: Dr. Abid Hussain Shalla, Associate Professor (Chemistry) IUST, Awantipora
- Fellowship: Rs. 31000/+8% HRA per month (consolidated) for 1st & 2nd Year Rs. 35000/ +8% HRA per month (consolidated) for 3rd Year
- Tenure: The position is temporary and renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum of three years.
- Minimum Qualification: M.Sc Chemistry/M.Sc Environmental Science/M.Tech. Environmental Engineering or equivalent Degree with CSIR-NET or GATE Desirable: Experience in Adsorption, Water Chemistry & Waste Management
