CUET UG 2024 registrations: Here’s everything you need to know about eligibility criteria before submitting applications

The Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2024, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), requires candidates to meet specific eligibility criteria. Here’s a comprehensive overview of the conditions set by the NTA for prospective applicants.

1. Age Limit:
There is no specified age limit for CUET UG candidates. Those who have completed or are appearing for the class 12 or equivalent examination in 2024, regardless of their age, can participate. However, candidates must adhere to the age criteria of the respective University/Institution where they seek admission.

2. Qualifying Examinations:
Candidates can qualify for CUET UG 2024 through various examinations, including:
– Final examination of the 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State Board.
– Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination from a recognized Board or University.
– Final examination of the two-year course from the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.
– Senior Secondary School Examination from the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects.
– Recognized Public School/Board/University examination in India or abroad equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
– Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination.
– Diploma of at least 3 years duration recognized by AICTE or a State board of technical education.
– General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
– High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma.

3. Additional Considerations:
Candidates completing Class 12 outside India or from a non-specified Board must obtain a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) confirming equivalence. It’s crucial for applicants to be aware of each University’s policies regarding quota, category, relaxation, reservations, qualification, subject combinations, preferences, etc.

While clearing the CUET UG 2024 entrance test is essential, candidates must fulfill the specific eligibility conditions of the university they are applying to. Prospective applicants are advised to visit the respective university’s website for detailed information on eligibility criteria, ensuring a smooth application process.
