DRDO Recruitment 2024: Walk-in Interview for JRF, RA Posts at DIHAR
The Defence Institute of High Altitude Research (DIHAR), a unit of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), is conducting a walk-in interview to fill up positions for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Research Associate (RA).

- Essential qualifications
- JRF: M.Sc./M.V.Sc in first division with NET qualification or M.Tech in first division at both Graduate and Post-graduate level
- RA: Ph.D in Agriculture Extension with at least one research paper published in an SCI journal
- Age limit
- JRF: 28 years
- RA: 35 years (relaxable for SC/ST & OBC candidates as per Government of India orders)
- Stipend
- JRF: Rs.37,000/- + HRA per month for an initial period of two years with a possibility of extension/upgradation based on performance
- RA: Rs.67,000/- + HRA per month for a maximum period of two years
Selection process
Candidates will be shortlisted based on their qualifications and experience. Shortlisted candidates will then be called for an interview.

Candidates are required to walk in for the interview on April 22, 2024 at DIHAR Base Lab, Near 3 BRD, Industrial Area Phase-II, Chandigarh-160002. They are required to bring their original certificates, a self-attested copy of their certificates, a bio-data, and any documents that support their experience (if applicable for the RA post).

Note:
- Candidates who are currently employed by the government, a public sector undertaking, or an autonomous body must bring a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer to the interview. If selected, they will be required to submit a relieving order from their employer before joining.
- The posts advertised are for research and development project-related studies. Only candidates who are medically fit and willing to work in high-altitude environmental conditions should apply.
