GAIL (India) Limited, a Maharatna PSU and the nation’s leading Natural Gas company, has announced a Special Recruitment Drive for SC, ST, OBC (NCL), and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates across multiple disciplines. Eligible Indian nationals can apply online for several Executive-level positions including Chief Manager, Senior Engineer, and Senior Officer roles.

Vacancy Details
The recruitment drive includes backlog vacancies for different categories under SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwBD. Vacancies are available in roles such as:
- Chief Manager (Law)
- Senior Officer – F&A, Fire & Safety, Marketing, BIS, HR, Law, Medical Services, Official Language
- Senior Engineer – Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, GAILTEL, Instrumentation, Boiler Operations, Environmental Engineering

Educational Qualification & Experience
Candidates must meet the minimum essential qualification and post-qualification experience as per the post applied for.
For example:
- Senior Engineer roles require Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with minimum 60% marks and at least 1 year experience in the respective field.
- Chief Manager (Law) requires LLB with 12 years experience in legal practice/executive roles.
- Senior Officer (Finance & Accounts) requires CA/CMA or B.Com + MBA Finance with minimum marks as specified.
Only regular full-time courses are allowed and qualifications must be from recognized universities.
Age Limit
Upper age limit varies by post and category.
Example:
- Senior Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical/Civil etc.)
- PwBD-General/EWS: 38 years
- PwBD-OBC(NCL): 41 years
- PwBD-SC/ST: 43 years
- Maximum age after all relaxations shall not exceed 56 years.
Age relaxation benefits apply as per Government norms.
Salary Structure
Selected candidates will receive impressive executive pay scales:
- E-5 Grade: ₹90,000 – ₹2,40,000
- E-2 Grade: ₹60,000 – ₹1,80,000
- E-1 Grade: ₹50,000 – ₹1,60,000
Additionally: - Performance pay, medical facilities, housing allowance, and superannuation benefits included.
Selection Process
Depending on number of applicants, selection may include:
- Group Discussion and/or Personal Interview
- Skill Test / Physical Endurance Test (F&S)
- Writing Exercise for Medical Services/ PwBD categories
Minimum qualifying marks apply as per category.
