IAF Agniveervayu Recruitment 2024: Both male and female candidates can apply for the IAF Agniveervayu recruitment.

   

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has announced the recruitment notification for the Agniveervayu Intake 02/2025, opening opportunities for both male and female candidates to join as Agniveers. Interested individuals can apply online through the official portal at agnipathvayu.cdac.in. The application window is scheduled to open on July 8 at 11 am and will close on July 28 at 11 pm. This recruitment drive presents a significant chance for aspirants to serve in the Indian Air Force and contribute to national defense.

Both male and female candidates are eligible to apply for the IAF Agniveervayu recruitment. The selection process will commence with a test starting on October 18, ensuring that candidates have ample time to prepare. This inclusive approach highlights the Air Force’s commitment to gender equality and providing equal opportunities for all qualified individuals to pursue a career in the military.

To be eligible for the IAF Agniveervayu recruitment, candidates must meet certain criteria. Specifically, applicants should be born between July 3, 2004, and January 3, 2008, inclusive of both dates. Additionally, candidates who successfully navigate all stages of the selection process must not exceed the upper age limit of 21 years on the date of enrollment. These age criteria ensure that the candidates are within the optimal age range for training and service.

The recruitment process also stipulates conditions regarding marital status and pregnancy. Only unmarried candidates are eligible to apply. Furthermore, those selected as Agniveervayu must remain unmarried throughout their engagement period of four years to qualify for selection into the regular cadre as an Airman. Female candidates, in particular, must undertake not to become pregnant during this engagement period. These requirements are designed to ensure the readiness and commitment of candidates throughout their initial term of service.

The educational qualifications required for the IAF Agniveervayu recruitment vary based on the candidate’s field of study. For science subjects, candidates should have passed the intermediate (Class 12) examination with Mathematics and Physics, achieving at least 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. Alternatively, candidates with a three-year diploma in engineering or a two-year vocational course with non-vocational subjects Physics and Mathematics, each with 50% marks in aggregate and English, are also eligible. For those from non-science backgrounds, the requirement is an intermediate or equivalent examination in any stream with 50% marks in aggregate and English. These criteria ensure that candidates possess the necessary academic foundation to undertake the technical and operational training required by the Air Force.

IAF Agniveervayu Recruitment 2024: Eligibility criteria

Age Limit: The candidate should be born between July 3, 2004 and January 3, 2008 (both dates inclusive. If a candidate clears all the stages of the selection process, then his/her upper age limit as on date of enrolment should be 21 years.

Marital status and pregnancy: Only unmarried candidates are eligible. Further, only unmarried Agniveervayu will be eligible for selection in theregular cadre as Airman. Female candidates have to additionally undertake not to get pregnant during the engagement period of four years.

Educational qualification:

(a) Science subjects

  • The candidates should have passed the intermediate (Class 12) examination or equivalent with Mathematics, Physics with a minimum of 50 per cent marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. or
  • Passed three years Diploma course in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical /Electronics/Automobile/Computer Science/Instrumentation Technology/Information Technology) with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Diploma course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English is not a subject in the Diploma course). or
  • Passed Two years Vocational course with non-vocational subject Physics and Mathematics with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Vocational course (or in Intermediate / Matriculation, if English is not a subject in the Vocational course).

(b) Other than Science Subjects

  • The candidates should have passed Intermediate or equivalent examination in any stream/subject from with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. or
  • Passed two years of Vocational course with at least 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Vocational course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation if English is not a subject in the Vocational course).
