The Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST), Awantipora, Kashmir, has officially released a notification regarding the rescheduling of written tests for various non-teaching and technical posts advertised under Notification No. 02 of 2024 dated 12-02-2024.

This decision comes after the University received multiple representations from applicants requesting a change in examination dates due to overlapping written tests being conducted by other recruitment bodies such as JKPSC and JKSSB on the same days.

Negative Marking & Syllabus Details

As per the university notification:

  • There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in both Paper A and Paper B.
  • The syllabus and other examination details remain unchanged and will follow the guidelines previously issued under Notice No. IUST/Reg/Adm/E/24/112 Dated: 04-04-2024.

IUST Written Test 2025 – Important Instructions for Candidates

The IUST has issued a set of important instructions for all candidates appearing in the upcoming written tests. It is crucial for every applicant to read and follow these guidelines carefully to avoid disqualification or inconvenience on the day of examination.

1. Admit Card Availability

  • Revised Admit Cards can be downloaded from the official website www.iust.ac.in from 25th October 2025 onwards.

2. Reporting Time

  • Candidates are advised to report at least one hour before the scheduled time of their test at the University Campus, Awantipora.

    • Recent passport-size photograph

4. Entry and Eligibility

  • Mere appearance in the written test does not guarantee eligibility or selection.
  • All candidates are subject to verification of documents and eligibility criteria at subsequent stages of the recruitment process.

5. Attendance and Absence

  • Candidates failing to appear in the test on the scheduled date and time will not be reconsidered for any other session or rescheduling.
  • Absence in the test will lead to forfeiture of candidature.

6. Misconduct or Malpractice

  • Any candidate found guilty of:
    • Impersonation,
    • Fabrication of documents, or
    • Submitting tampered certificates
      will face immediate disqualification and may be liable for legal action.

7. Minimum Qualifying Marks

  • Candidates must score at least 50% marks in each paper to qualify for further stages of selection such as interviews or skill tests (if applicable).

8. Jurisdiction and Legal Matters

  • Any dispute or legal case concerning the written tests will be under the jurisdiction of Srinagar Courts only.

9. No TA/DA

  • The University will not pay any TA/DA (Travel Allowance / Dearness Allowance) for appearing in the test.
