JEE Main Full Form
The full form of JEE Main is Joint Entrance Examination Main. National Testing Agency will conduct the JEE Mains exam for admission to the courses offered at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), and Institutions/Universities funded/recognized by participating state governments. NTA JEE Main also acts as screening for JEE Advanced 2024, which is conducted for admission to IITs. The top 2,50,000 JEE Main qualifiers are considered eligible for the Advanced exam.

75 Percent Criteria for JEE Mains 2024
NTA re-introduced 75 percent marks eligibility criteria in JEE Mains last year. Now candidates willing to get admission at their desired institute require at least 75% in their class 12th as minimum marks to qualify JEE Mains. Prior to covid, there was no such condition and no 12th percentage was required for JEE Mains 2024. Any candidate found ineligible according to 75 percent criteria of JEE Mains will be declared disqualified and will not be offered admission at institutes including IITs, NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs.

Candidates will be able to access the JEE Main application form 2024 in online mode. How to fill the JEE Main 2024 application form
Registration: Candidates need to complete the JEE Main 2024 registration. During the registration process, candidates need to provide the necessary details. Candidates should provide the details carefully because no request regarding the correction will be accepted.
Filling the form: After the completion of the NTA JEE registration process, candidates have to complete the application form. Candidates need to provide personal details, apply for the paper, and choose the exam cities and education qualifications.
Uploading images: After filling the form candidates have to upload the image of the candidate’s photo, signature, address proof, category certificate, and PwD certificate.

Fee payment: Candidates have to pay the JEE Main application fee online. The payment can be done via credit card / debit card / net banking / UPI. JEE Main 2024 answer key challenge
The authority will allow the candidates to challenge the provisional answer key. This is a chargeable process. JEE Main Tie Breaker
In case two or more candidates secure the same marks in the JEE Main exam, a tie-breaking rule is used. To break the tie following method will be used
Tie Breaking for JEE Main paper 1
- First preference will be given to Mathematics scores followed by Physics and Chemistry
- Candidates with more positive answers compare to negative answers.
- Candidates older in age
- Application number in ascending order
Tie Breaking for JEE Main paper 2
- First of all Mathematics scores will be considered. If the tie still remains then Aptitude and Drawing scores will be considered.
- If the tie still remains then, the preference will be given to the candidates with more positive responses.
- Further preference will be given to older candidates
- Finally, the application number in ascending order will be given the preference.

JEE Main 2024 Cutoff
The authority will release the JEE Main cutoff 2024 along with the result in online mode along with the result. The cutoff of JEE Main is the minimum mark required to qualify the exams. JoSAA will conduct the JEE Main 2024 counselling process in online mode. Candidates who seek admission to the participating institutes have to register at the JoSAA portal and complete the choice filling process. JoSAA seat allotment will be done on the basis of the choice filled, the number of seats available, and the candidate rank. The authority shall conduct the counsellling in six rounds along with two mock rounds.
JEE Main counselling process 2024:
The counselling process of JEE Main comprises the following steps:
- Registration: Candidates have to log in using the JEE Main roll number and password while JEE Advanced candidates have to provide the corresponding password to login. After login, candidates have to provide the basic details.
- Choice filling: After the completion of registration, candidates have to make the choice of course and institute. The choices should be made in the order of preference.
- Choice Locking: After filling in the choice candidates have to lock the choice. Before locking the choice candidates have to check their preference because once the choice is locked no chances can be done. Finally, take the print of the locked choice.
