Directorate of Samagra Shiksha (J&K) Announces Recruitment for Special Educators under PM Shri Scheme

Jammu, 10th January 2023: The Directorate of Samagra Shiksha, Jammu & Kashmir, has issued a notification (No: 01 of 2023) inviting online applications for the recruitment of Special Educators on a contractual basis under the PM Shri Scheme.

Positions Available:

• Special Education Teachers (SETs)
  • Kashmir Division: 34 positions
  • Jammu Division: 35 positions
  • Total: 69 positions

Eligibility Criteria:

• Age Limit: Not born before 01.01.1983 and not born after 01.01.2005 (Maximum age limit: 40 years)
• Educational Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subjects
  • B.Ed. Spl. Ed. or its equivalent from an RCI recognized Institute
  • Domicile: Candidates must be domiciles of Jammu & Kashmir
• Pay per Month (Consolidated): Rs. 25,000/-

How to Apply:

1. Candidates must apply online through the Directorate of Samagra Shiksha website www.samagrashikshajk.nic.in from 20.12.2023 to 05.01.2024.
2. Upload a recent passport-sized colored photograph.
3. Ensure that all applications are supported by self-attested certificates/testimonials.
4. Any false or incomplete information will result in the cancellation of the application.

Important Dates:

• Commencement of Online Application: 20.12.2023
• Last Date for Online Application Submission: 05.01.2024

Selection Criteria:

Selection will be based on a point system:

• Bachelor’s Degree: 25 points
• B.Ed. Sp. Ed. or equivalent: 50 points
• Post Graduation Degree: 10 points
• Additional Relevant Higher Qualification (Special Education): 15 points
• PG Diploma in Sp. Ed.: 5 points
• M.Ed. Sp. Ed.: 10 points
• Ph.D. Sp. Ed.: 15 points

Tie-Breaking Criteria:

If two or more candidates score the same points, preference will be given based on higher marks percentage in B.Ed. Sp. Ed.

If the tie persists, it will be resolved based on UG marks.

If a tie still exists, higher age of the applicant will be considered.
