JKSSB Patwari Syllabus 2024 Download PDF
Srinagar (KSA) – The Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) has released the detailed syllabus for the upcoming Patwari recruitment exam. The exam will consist of two parts – Part I and Part II.
Part I will be a descriptive paper in Urdu to test the candidates’ working knowledge of the language. It will be of qualifying nature. Part II will comprise of multiple choice objective type questions carrying a total of 120 marks.
The Urdu paper will test reading and writing skills and will carry 50 marks. Candidates have to secure minimum 33% in both reading and writing sections separately to qualify this part.
Part II will test general knowledge, current affairs, computer knowledge, mental ability, reasoning, and English language. It will carry 120 marks in total with negative marking of 0.25 for every wrong answer.
Some of the major topics covered in Part II include Indian national movement, geography, climate, transport, Indian economy, Jammu and Kashmir reorganisation act 2019, environment, ecology, basic computer applications, tenses, comprehension, synonyms, antonyms among others.
The exam aims to shortlist suitable candidates for the post of Patwari in the Jammu and Kashmir administration. The public service commission has advised candidates to thoroughly go through the prescribed syllabus before appearing for the exam — (Kashmir Student Alerts)
