Government of Jammu and Kashmir Announces OMR-Based Written Examination for Supervisor Post

The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has scheduled an Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) based written examination for the post of Supervisor (Social Welfare Department) on June 23, 2024. The examination will take place from 11:00 AM to 01:00 PM across various districts in the Jammu and Kashmir Divisions.

In a notification (No. JKSSB-COE/1/2024-06 (7480543)) issued by the JKSSB, the Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir has been requested to ensure a smooth, transparent, and efficient conduct of the examination. The request aligns with Circular No. 05-GAD of 2016, dated January 28, 2016, from the General Administration Department.

The following key arrangements and measures have been outlined for the examination:

1. Deployment of Personnel: Observers, Magistrates, Centre Superintendents, Invigilators, and police personnel (both male and female) will be deployed. Invigilators will maintain a ratio of 1:24 (one invigilator per 24 candidates). Orders for imposition of section 144 around examination centres will also be issued.

2. Video Recording: Critical events such as the opening of question booklets, handling of OMR answer sheets, and the packing back of used OMR sheets will be videographed to ensure transparency. These recordings will be archived for reference.
