NEET-PG Expected in Early July; National Exit Test Exemption for the Current Year, Reports Suggest
The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET-PG) examination for 2024 is anticipated to take place in the first week of July, with counselling expected to commence in the first week of August, as per informed sources. Notably, there will be no National Exit Test (NExT) conducted this year.
According to the recently-notified “Post-Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023,” which supersede the 2018 Amendment Regulations, the NEET-PG will persist until the operationalization of the proposed NExT for PG admissions.
The NEET-PG stands as a pivotal eligibility-cum-ranking examination, serving as the singular entrance assessment for admission into various MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses in alignment with the National Medical Commission Act, 2019.
