The Broadcast Engineering Consultants India Limited (BECIL) has invited applications for Engagement/Hiring of services of Legal Consultant on contract basis. The selected candidates would be appointed for a period of one year and given a salary of Rs 60,000.

The Legal Consultant will be hired on contract basis for the period of one year to begin with. This period could be extended further based on the requirement of the BECIL. However, the performance of the consultant will be reviewed after every six months and his contract will be extended (as the case may be) depending on his performance.

Essential Qualification & Experience:

The essential educational qualification and experience for the Legal Consultant are as follows:

  1. Degree of L.L.B or equivalent from a recognized University and/or institute in India or abroad, recognized by the Bar Council of India.
  2. Qualified to be registered as an Advocate in any State Bar Council/Bar Council of India in terms of Advocate’ s Act, 1961.
  3. At least five years of experience in Court of Law or expert in legal matters with sufficient experience working in Government Department / PSU having Handled Court Cases. Knowledge of company laws, tendering process, matters related to NCLT etc. is needed.
  4. Retired Government servant of the level of US/DS fulfilling the above criteria may also apply for the post.

The general terms and conditions of engagement are as listed below:

  • Remuneration: Rs.60,000/- per month (Rupees Sixty thousand only)
  • Period of engagement: The consultant will initially be engaged for a period of one year. The engagement can be extended or curtailed depending upon the performance/need of the BECIL.
  • Allowances: No allowance such as Dearness Allowance, Residential Telephone, Transport Facility/Transport Allowance, House Rent Allowance, CGHS, Medical reimbursement etc. is admissible.
  • Leave: No leave except 8 days casual leave in a calendar year. The Legal Consultant is expected to be in office during normal working hours.
  • TA/DA: TA/DA is allowed for travel in the country in connection with the Official work as per normal rules applicable to any serving officer of the rank of Deputy General Manager/General Manager.
  • Headquarters: The headquarters will be at Noida.
  • No other benefits will be admissible.
  • The BECIL reserves the right to terminate the services of the consultant without any prior notice if the performance is not found to be satisfactory.
  • The Legal Consultant would be subject to be the provisions of Indian Official Secrets Act, 1923 not only during the assignment but thereafter also.

Srinagar, June 18 (KNO): Several areas across the Kashmir Valley including the summer capital Srinagar recorded the hottest day of the season on Sunday.

Data available with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) reaveals that Srinagar recorded the hottest day of the season at 31.8 degree Celsius.

The data further added that Pahalgam, Qazigund, Kupwara and Gulmarg also recorded the hottest day of the season today.

In Kupwara, the mercury settled at 31.0 degree Celsius while in Qazigund the mercury settled at 31.6 degree Celsius.

As per the data, the mercury settled at 26.6 degree Celsius and 21.5 degree Celsius at famous tourist places, Pahalgam and Gulmarg respectively.

Moreover, the weatherman has predicted hot and humid weather conditions for the next 6 days in Jammu and Kashmir.

Director Meteorological department, Sonum Lotus told KNO that there is a possibikity of mainly clear weather in J&K.

From June 19-23, the weather would remain mainly dry, but a brief spell of shower, thunderstorm mainly towards late afternoon, evening can’t be ruled out, he said.

During June 24-26, he said there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder, lightning likely at scattered to fairly widespread places with 60% chances, adding that there is no forecast of any major rainfall this week—(KNO)

Pursuant to Notification No. 022-BOPEE of 2023 dated 02-04-2023 and Notice No.
005-BOPEE of 2023 dated 22-04-2023 followed by Notice No. 008-BOPEE of 2023 dated 20-05-2023, it is hereby notified for information of all the applicants who have applied for admission to the Bachelor of Engineering and Technology Courses-2023 in the Government/Private Institutions of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir, that the Board shall
conduct the Counseling for admission to such Courses on the basis of merit secured by the
candidates in the Qualifying Examination i.e. 10+2. However, the schedule for conduct of
counseling (physical) shall be notified separately.

Further, the applicants who have failed to upload their Marks Card due to non-
declaration of their results of Qualifying Examination (10+2) or for any other reason during the submission of the online applications are advised to visit the BOPEE website regularly for submission/uploading of their Marks Cards.

The other terms and conditions/eligibility shall, however, remain the same as notified

Srinagar, June 18 (KNO): Member Parliament and former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Farooq Abdullah today said those who spread hatred in the country should see how Muslims and Hindus in Kashmir coexist and extend support to each other for smooth conduct of Amarnath Yatra.

Talking to reporters, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said that Amarnath Yatra has been a reflection of brotherhood in the Kashmir Valley.

“Those who spread hatred in the country, they should see how Muslims and Hindus extend support to each other for it’s smooth conduct”, he said.

In response to a question over scarcity of water, electricity, and food grains, Dr Abdullah said that problems like these are eminent every year, saying there is not so much scarcity of water as of now but the government should definitely look into it.

“The government of India has reduced the food grain supply, as I am the member of the Parliamentary committee for food, we have appealed to the government for it’s sufficient restoration”, he said.

He said that the poor, who work there during Amarnath Yatra period earn their livelihood out of it and spent the same earnings in the winter.
