SPECIAL SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME (SSS) FOR THE STUDENTS OF UNION TERRITORIES OF JAMMU & KASHMIR AND LADAKH
UNDER PRADHAN MANTRI UCHCHATAR SHIKSHA PROTSAHAN (PM-USP) YOJNA: ONLINE REGISTRATION – ACADEMIC YEAR 2023-24 FOR 10+2 STUDENTS.

Online Registration for Academic Session 2023-24 under SSS J&K and Ladakh will commence from 22.05.2023. The details regarding eligibility criteria, courses and financial help are given below:

SPECIAL SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME

Students are required to visit nearest Facilitation Center for Registration
only and for Document Verification please visit nearest Facilitation cum-Document Verification Center (FDVC) from 24.05.2023 onwards.

Rescheduling of CUET (UG) – 2023 for the candidates of UT of Jammu & Kashmir – reg.

In continuation to the Public Notice dated: 19 May 2023 and Press Note dated: 19 May 2023, it has been decided that the CUET (UG) – 2023 examination scheduled for 21 to 25 May 2023 is cancelled in the UT of Jammu & Kashmir.

A total of 87309 (Eighty-seven thousand three hundred nine) unique candidates have been
registered from the UT of Jammu and Kashmir. This is a phenomenal increase in the number of registered candidates as per the last year.

Being sensitive to the needs of candidates and to facilitate the students of Jammu and Kashmir, the NTA is exploring the possibility of creating temporary Centres in Kashmir.
In view of the above, it has been decided that the CUET (UG) – 2023 will now be conducted
from 26 May 2023 onwards in the UT of Jammu & Kashmir.

NOTIFICATION

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education invites applications on plain paper alongwith resume from eligible students pursuing Masters in Computer Applications (MCA) for undergoing Six months’ Internship Programme/Project Work of sixth semester in its offices of J&K U.T.

ELIGIBILITY:
Students pursuing Masters in Computer Applications are eligible to submit the form for JKBOSE internship program.

They shall have to produce a No Objection Certificate from their University/institution o the prescribed format.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
The period of Internship/Project Work shall be for 24 weeks/6 months An Intern shall not be paid any remuneration/stipend.

Interns will have to make their own arrangements for stay/accommodation at their own expenses and no HRA
shall be paid.

Interns shall be provided with necessary office work space. However, should preferably their own laptop.

The candidates will be selected for internship on the basis of cumulative percentage of marks obtained in their last semesters of course and personal interaction with the selection committee. However, maximum seats will be limited to ten in a year. (Five at Jammu and Five at Srinagar).The detailed information brochure along with guidelines is available on the official website of JKBOSE.

Srinagar, May 20 (KNO): Violating government rules, some teachers in South Kashmir’s Anantnag continue to teach at coaching centres even as the Chief Education Officer has banned government teachers from teaching at coaching centres.

As per a circular issued by the Chief Education Officer Anantnag, a copy of which lies with news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), it has been observed that some government teachers had been undertaking coaching assignments in private institutions and coaching centers violating the government norms of Rule 10 of J&K Government employee conduct Rule 1971

“If anyone among teaching Staff will be found making violation of Govt orders/circulars instructions and J&K employees conduct rules 1971, necessary action shall be taken against them,” he said.

“In continuation to this office circular instructions issued vide No:CEO/A/IMW/10590-782/23 Dated: 08.05.2023, a preliminary enquiry has been conducted regarding involvement of Government teaching personnel in coaching centers. The report reveals that some teaching personnels are involved in coaching centers which is a gross violation of Rule (10) of J&K Govt Employees Conduct Rules 1971,” reads the circular.

“Accordingly, all the DDO’s are enjoined to obtain an affidavit from the teaching personnel of his/her control to the effect that they shall not teach in private coaching centers henceforth. In case any teaching official found violating the Govt. orders/circular instructions and J&K Employees Conduct Rules 1971, necessary action shall follow against the erring officials,” it reads.

“Further the District Level Monitoring Committee constituted for the purpose are also instructed to gearup the monitoring process and share the report/recommendations with this office for prompt action,” it states further.

Notably, two days before, the Department of Education had ordered suspension of a government teacher for teaching at a private coaching centre in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

“In terms of Rule 31 of Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules 1956, pending enquiry into the conduct Mr. Bilal Ahmad Lone teacher Middle School Garoora presently deployed at Model Boys Higher Secondary Anantnag is placed under suspension with immediate effect in violation of Rule 10 of the J&K Government Employees (Conduct) Rules, 1971, Chapter (IV) Section 28 of RTE Act, 2009, circular number 49-JK(Edu) of 2022, dated 17.11.2022,” reads an order, a copy of which lies with KNO.

“During the period of suspension, the suspended shall remain attached with the principal District Institute of Education and Training Anantnag,” order reads further—(KNO)

It is notified for information of all the Backlog students of UG Semester 2nd that the date for submission of online examination forms has been extended and the link for same shall remain open upto 30-05-2023.

Concerned students are directed to submit their examination forms along with the
prescribed fee on the University website (www.cusrinagar.edu.in) through student login.

Students who have not appeared in their internal examination are not eligible for
external examination.

Students who fail to submit their examination forms within the stipulated date shall

to various Post Graduate programmes / courses (professional / non professional)
session 2023 that:

1. The Entrance test for different programmes / courses shall be held in three sessions at various centers of Main Campus of the University only.

2. The entrance test shall begin from 26th of May 2023. Admit Cards for the entrance test shall be made available on University of Kashmir Website from 19th of May 2023 after 4 pm. Aspirants are advised to re-check the schedule /date of test with the updated date sheet available on website of University of Kashmir.

3. The Center notice shall be made available on University of Kashmir Website on
22nd May 2023. Candidates are advised to check their entrance test roll numbers
against respective centers with the date of test.

Two Govt teachers suspended for teaching in private coaching centre in Pulwama

Pulwama, May 20 (KNO): Chief Education Officer (CEO) Pulwama has ordered suspension of two government teachers for teaching at a private coaching centre.

As per order issued by Chief Education Officer, a copy of which lies with news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), “Pursuant to regular online/offline complaints and as reported by the designated monitoring teams, two teaching personals were found involved in private coaching at SCI Pulwama on May-18 contrary to the service rules and repeated directions from the department to desist from the practice.”

“As such pending enquiry, they are placed under suspension with immediate effect. However, they shall report the institutions shown against each for further duties.” It reads.

As per order, one of the teacher who is posted at HS Singhoo Narbal has been directed to report at GUPS Shadimarg while another suspended teacher posted in GHS Rajpora has been directed to report at HS Doodimargh Lurgam.

“The suspendees are deemed to have been relieved of their duties to report to their new place by today positively.” It reads—(KNO)
