Schools across Kashmir reopen after 10-Day summer break
Srinagar, July 18: After a 10-day summer break announced on July 8, schools across Kashmir reopened today, welcoming back eager students and dedicated teachers.
The reopening was accompanied by a government mandate instructing all Heads of Institutions (HoIs) to initiate a comprehensive cleanliness drive. The directive emphasizes the importance of thoroughly cleaning and maintaining classrooms, toilets, corridors, and open areas to ensure a hygienic environment for all.
The pleasant weather added to the excitement as students streamed back into their schools, ready to reunite with friends and teachers. Teachers warmly greeted the returning students.
Many students shared their delight at being back in school, eager to resume their studies and participate in classroom activities. The emphasis on cleanliness was well-received, with students understanding the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
The focus on hygiene not only aims to protect the health of students and staff but also instills valuable lessons about personal responsibility and community well-being. Teachers took the opportunity to reiterate the importance of cleanliness and hygiene, aligning with the government’s directive.–(KNS)
